Safety
Yesterday my Mom had an appointment with the CHP. She needed their help in installing the 3 in 1 car seat that she bought for Beatrice. Izak couldn't get it to work because her seats slope funny. My Mom said that the installation process was very informative and she suggested that I go and make sure that my seat was properly installed. I kind of rolled my eyes at the thought, yet ANOTHER thing that I have to do. But then I was like, 'Um, hello!? This is your daughter's safety and LIFE that we're talking about... is it gonna kill you to take some time out of your day to do this?' And I know, in the long run I'll be secure in the knowledge that she is in fact safe in her seat. Especially because it's been so hard getting used to the new bigger seat! Its such a pain to get her in! And I think the harness is jacked up on one side because it seems tighter on the one side than it does on the other. And I know that can't be right! At the time I told my mom to email me the number because I didn't have a pen. Checking my email this morning, she hadn't sent it yet. That was fine. I was being lazy about the whole thing and I wasn't going to worry about it. So I picked up my Westways magazine, courtesy of AAA and as I flipped through it something caught my eye. It was an article about the importance of buckeling up your child correctly in their car/booster seat. I took that as a sign from God, his(her) way of lighting a fire under my ass to just get it done. So I called 411 - I told you I was lazy. Got the number for CHP and made an appointment for tomorrow morning! I just pray that I don't get into any accidents tonight or tomorrow before I go.

That is really smart. I don't know of ours is in correctly, it seems so wobbly. I need to make an appointment also and I am been thinking that I really need to take a CPR class, interested?
I would totally be interested. I think I took one ages ago when I was in middle school... thinking I was going to rake in the BIG BUCKS with babysitting.... but it can't hurt to have a refresher course right??
