Last Weekend

This last weekend Izak and I took Bea on a day trip to the coast. We went to our favorite seafood restaurant and had awesome seafood that, despite the crowded restaurant came to us way faster then was expected. I thought I'd have plenty of time to feed Bea her lunch while waiting for ours, but I ended up eating last. Bea's a quick eater though, so my calamari and clam chowder didn't get too cold. From there we drove to the beach so I could nurse Bea, yeah, she was still hungry! :) Then we stopped to get some salt water taffy. And then we drove to yet another more quieter beach thanks to Uncle David and Aunt Megan. Bea got to put her feet in the water for real this time. It was a little chilly but she didn't seem to mind too much. She also grabbed a hand full of sand before we could stop her! I will post pictures later this afternoon, so check back! ;) On the way home we stopped at In and Out where I, why is it always me?!, found a french fried hair.... but the drive and the day made up for the random fried hair... ick. Oh! And on the way there I finished the last 'W' on Bea's Wonder Woman costume. Now I've got to work on her shorts, the crown, and the belt.

On Sunday I had a very busy day. Instead of being lazy and sleeping in, Bea woke up at her usual time (around 6.) Once I got her fed I almost just sat down in front of the t.v to drain my brain for the entire day, but something made me get up and tackle the refrigerator. It hadn't been cleaned since we bought it... I won't tell you when! ;) So now it's sparkling clean and empty. Geez! We need to go grocery shopping again! It's never ending I tell you! Once I got the refrigerator done I was on a roll. I cleaned our stove top and kitchen I even reorganized the pantry and dumped a lot of OLD stuff. Who knew that baking powder and cornstarch go bad? I even dusted the living room furniture. So now I can have people drop by unexpectedly and I won't feel too embarrassed. Not that that's an invitation. You all know how much I hate people who just drop by unexpectedly! :D

Can you believe that after all that we still had time for a swim at my parents house! I don't think I've been so productive since Bea's birth.

In other news, I booked our tickets for my prima's wedding in St. Francisville. We're going to fly into New Orleans and do some touristy stuff a few days before the wedding and other festivities planned, and then stay a littler longer to hit whatever we feel we missed. I'm so excited. Last time I was there I wasn't able to really see anything. I just ended up on Bourbon Street and Cafe DuMonde. This time we'll do that AND we're going to a plantation. Well two actually. My prima is getting married at one and I'm going to another one on my own. (Well, with Izak and Bea of course!) Stacey is coming in early too! It will be fun driving in a new city to a place that we haven't been before! We're bound to have some sort of an adventure!

Well, that's it for now. I'll get those pictures up soon.
