Easter Bunny!

I don't know how my mom did it...but she got the girls to sit with the Easter Bunny!!  This hasn't happened since Millie was a baby and I had to bribe Bea with Peeps!!

Spring Break

The girls are on Spring Break and I wish I had the week off too! :(

Three good things...

A couple of weeks ago (or longer) when I was implementing my new bedtime routine, I started asking the girls to tell me three good things that happened to them that day.  I'd ask them individually while tucking them in at night. The last couple of nights they've been asleep before I got home so I didn't get a chance to ask them. Last night Beatrice turned the tables on me and asked ME to tell her three good things that happened to me. Yesterday was tough for me. I thought my sitter wasn't going to show... I had to miss my lunch break out of the office because my sitter was so late.. Millie was having another one of  her breakdowns (several of them I should say) after dance. It was just overall a shitty day I felt.  So it was really hard to think of three good things... I came up with one: dinner didn't suck! I had tried a new recipe.. actually I just made it up from something that I'd had a while ago and it turned out great! I was struggling to come up with the other two things... I was looking at Bea and Millie and then it came to me... Three good things that happened to me yesterday were: 1)Beatrice 2) Camille 3)dinner didn't suck.. Those girls - though they drive me crazy on several occasions will always be my top two good things that happened to me today and everyday.  Maybe it doesn't really count... But they make me smile despite their chaos.

It was a spur of the moment trip and so nice to see everyone! There were lots of shenanigans - like always! The weather was rainy Friday, slightly overcast Saturday morning, but then warmed up, and Sunday was perfect! Of course, perfect weather on the day we leave! When can we do it again!?

Kindergarten Registration

I registered Bea for kindergarten last Friday. It was cold and rainy and I lost a glove! Gigi was worried about me getting a good spot in line so she went down early for me. (I met her 30 min. later.) I was the first one in the door! Gigi started crying! I wonder where Bea will end up.... Guess I won't know till a week before school starts in August! What the heck right?

Jinxed

It never fails whenever we have pictures coming up something always happens to the girl's faces. For Millie's first birthday party she busted her top lip open somehow. I think Bea nearly had a black eye in another photo. Anyways, their school pictures are this week and guess what happened ALL IN ONE DAY!? Bea was playing on the swing set with her friend and her friend somehow kicked her in the face. She now has a little bruise on her right cheek. I'm hoping it won't be noticeable in the pictures. Maybe her smile will cover it? She was practicing poses with her hands to cover it, like the princesses do at Disney Land. Her pictures are today. I was thinking as long as I can get Millie through the week we'll be good, her pictures are Friday. But no such luck. After dance the girls were running in the parking lot. Millie's shoe fell off and tripped her up and she literally went skidding into the pavement. In the dark it just looked like she had some dirt on her face but once I got her home I saw that she scratched her right arm and has scratches under her right eye. She seems to favor that spot because in January she fell and skidded her face IN THE SAME SPOT on the carpet at a restaurant. So everyone will get pictures of my beat up girls in the mail! Yay! :(

Some days I feel like I just can't win. Yesterday was one of those days....
