So this year my plate is extremely full. I'm excited about it... but also a bit apprehensive. Because my plate has been so full I made the decision not to worry about certain things... for example: What will happen with Bea for kindergarten. If you recall I was trying to get her transferred to another school so she could stay at the new preschool I signed the girls up for. I didn't get the transfer and because I am such a responsible person, as soon as I found out I called the preschool to tell her my dilemma.
Yesterday I met with one of Millie's little friend's mom who works for the school district and had the same problem with her older kids. She wanted to get them into Oak Grove. She said she just called and bugged and bugged and bugged! I could SO do that! I got renewed hope that I could actually get her in to Oak Grove and things would be cake! I was so excited that I texted the preschool gal and told her I might still be able to get Bea in to Oak Grove and she could stay at her preschool in the mornings. She texted me back that she might have already given the slot away and that she didn't know for sure because her computer crashed with all her records.
Sooooo. Now what? Do I call and bug and get her in only to STILL not have a place for her? So I get her into an afternoon kindergarten class at Oak Grove... if she's with me all morning she's not going to want to go to school. (I have first hand knowledge and experience with this.)
I suppose I could call and bug and get her in and then go from there?? If it doesn't work out with the preschool then just take her to our home school?? UGH!!! Now I wish I had just let it go and not worried about it at all.

Bloody Mess
Today was Millie's first day at the new preschool. Beatrice doesn't start till next month but it ended up being her first day too. I got there early so the girls would have a chance to look around and know that I wasn't rushing to leave them in a new and strange place all by themselves. Millie was very reluctant. Once she saw the huge doll house the school had I was pretty much chopped liver. The owner was going to let Millie pick a cubby and asked her to come over to us. I guess Millie thought she was in trouble because she hid behind me and in doing so must have bumped her nose and with the combination of the weather her nose started bleeding. Everywhere. The owner asked if 'this happens often.' And I was beside myself saying no, No... it only happens when she bumps it. I can only imagine that they must think she's a bleeder! We got it stopped and Millie washed off - I even ran home to get her a change of clothes and quickly made Bea a lunch. It's nice to literally be down the street!
Now if only this morning/afternoon kindergarten thing would work out.... not to mention the fall dance schedule... Here's to hoping I can get at least one of these worries knocked out today...
