A couple of Thursdays ago my Mom, Bea, and I went up to Babies R Us and, among other things, bought Bea a new and bigger car seat. Beatrice can still use her old seat, she's still lite enough for it. But she's grown too long, or tall I guess I should say for her old seat. Although she still fits, she just looked like she was going to out grow it sooner rather than later. Now, unfortunately for me, the manufacturer of these seats makes a 'boy' seat and a 'girl' seat. Nothing neutral. UGH! The girl's seat was hideous! This gross bright ugly pink with green. I just couldn't stomach it. The boy's seat was mostly black with tan and grey stripes. I went with the boy seat. I just can't stand bright pink stuff. I think Bea likes it. I like not having to haul her around in that carrier. But now I have to find someplace to put the old one and the two bases we have. Another downside with the bigger seat, she no longer has a sun shade, or any place to put her hanging toys. :( I guess I better just have a basket or something of 'car toys' left in the car so she'll always have something to play with.
Oh! And while driving to Needles this weekend Bea said 'dada.' Her first official word! I say official because she said it (and has been saying it) several times. Don't feel bad for me that she didn't say 'mama,' this way when she's upset or needs something she'll call out 'dada!' See! There is a method to my madness. :D I'm not entirely sure that Bea knows that 'dada' is Izak though. I think she thinks it's her toys.
