Went to the CHP, got my seat checked out, and it's in there correctly. I did find out how to properly strap Bea in... yeah you'd think I would have known how to do that... well I didn't so excuse me. But now I know, and knowing is half the battle. (LOL) Anyways... they gave me a free blanket... kind of random. I think it's like homemade. Sweet gesture, just slightly strange to give a total stranger something. Anyways...
I got SO excited about McCain choosing a woman for his V.P that I ran out (on etsy) and bought the cutest Republican shirt for Bea to wear when we go to vote. Yes, I am bringing her, it's important that she knows how important it is to vote. :)
Happy Friday everyone!!

Safety
Yesterday my Mom had an appointment with the CHP. She needed their help in installing the 3 in 1 car seat that she bought for Beatrice. Izak couldn't get it to work because her seats slope funny. My Mom said that the installation process was very informative and she suggested that I go and make sure that my seat was properly installed. I kind of rolled my eyes at the thought, yet ANOTHER thing that I have to do. But then I was like, 'Um, hello!? This is your daughter's safety and LIFE that we're talking about... is it gonna kill you to take some time out of your day to do this?' And I know, in the long run I'll be secure in the knowledge that she is in fact safe in her seat. Especially because it's been so hard getting used to the new bigger seat! Its such a pain to get her in! And I think the harness is jacked up on one side because it seems tighter on the one side than it does on the other. And I know that can't be right! At the time I told my mom to email me the number because I didn't have a pen. Checking my email this morning, she hadn't sent it yet. That was fine. I was being lazy about the whole thing and I wasn't going to worry about it. So I picked up my Westways magazine, courtesy of AAA and as I flipped through it something caught my eye. It was an article about the importance of buckeling up your child correctly in their car/booster seat. I took that as a sign from God, his(her) way of lighting a fire under my ass to just get it done. So I called 411 - I told you I was lazy. Got the number for CHP and made an appointment for tomorrow morning! I just pray that I don't get into any accidents tonight or tomorrow before I go.
New Rugby Coach
Izak is a Rugby Coach again! He was voted unanimously on Tuesday night. We just found out yesterday. Bea and I will have a lot of traveling to do on the weekends going to the home games and the away games!! Yay! I already bought her a little 'rugby striped' jumper which I'm going to put on the back 'Coach in Training.' I was going to put assistant coach, but Izak already has one.
In other news Bea's Wonder Woman outfit is done! Her crown and belt are finished thanks to Gigi's help. Now I just have to decide if I want to cover her cuffs with the same material that is on her "W's" and her crown and belt, or just leave it the flat gold that it already is... I think I might leave it. Oh! And I still have to do her lasso of truth! But that won't take long at all! I wish Adam's birthday was here already! I can't wait to see her in her costume!! :)

Beatrice's first....
...allergies!? On Saturday evening we noticed that Bea had a runny nose and watery eyes! I didn't know if she had her first little cold or if she was allergic to something... peaches? (I gave her her first peaches on Saturday afternoon.) Sunday she still had the watery eyes and runny nose. :( She was still in high spirits though. Just to be on the safe side, I kept her home from school today and took her to the doctor. Of course she didn't have any of the symptoms when I brought her in, but being a new mom, I didn't want to just let it go and then have it be something really bad down the line. I told the doctor everything that she'd done this weekend... and she suggested that Bea might be allergic to the cats! (I have another, valid, reason to leave them on the side of the road now.) But seriously, the doctor just said to keep them away from her for awhile. It's so sad because Bea loves to watch them and try to touch them. Oh well. If I were to have Bea tested she'd have to have blood work done. Yuck! I don't want to do that! At least not right now. I will just keep the cats away from her for now.... :(

Animal lover...
Here are some more pictures of Bea with one of her cats... and a little video of Bea and Ruggers. :)
Beatrice is always so happy to see Neko in the mornings. He always lays at the end of the hall and when we walk down it he meows good morning and she laughs at him.

She also loves to try to get a hold of his tail!
Hate it when...
I've slaved over a hot stove (trying a new recipe) cooking multiple items, boiling water in one pot, cooking chicken in another, brownies in the oven. Finally sitting down to enjoy my meal and... it sucks. Yeah. It was just blah. Not really any flavor to it. I ended up making myself a sandwich. And I think Izak just picked out the chicken and ate that. That's what I get for trying a new recipe and actually making dinner myself instead of calling for pizza or pulling out a Precious Thyme entree. But geez, you can't have the same things right?! You need to mix it up a bit. So I have this huge stack of new recipes that I've yet to try and I'm just not sure if I want to try them now. At least not any time soon. :) You know what... I was so disgusted with my meal that I didn't even eat any of the brownies... I'm sure they'll end up being bad as well. Ugh. I just can't win!
