What a Night!

Last night was a little crazy! I got a call from Beatrice's cheer coach that Bea needed to come by to try on some uniforms so they would know what size to order. This was at 5.30 p.m. we were just sitting down for dinner. I told her we'd be over after dinner. I also had church choir practice to go to at 7 p.m. We scrambled and ate dinner quickly. Then Bea and I went to the coaches house - luckily she doesn't live too far away. We quickly tried on uniforms, Bea looks so cute! I can't wait to see her in her actual uniform. She seems really excited about it too. She'll have her first practice next week.

I was late getting to choir practice, but it was fun! There were some familiar faces - and I'm not just talking about the current cast of A Taffeta Wedding. I like the two songs we'll be singing this Sunday. They are very dramatic and cool sounding. I just felt like I was drowning in the sea of sopranos! I got to the point where I couldn't even hear myself and therefore was unsure if I was even singing the right notes. I hope to meet up with the music minister on Saturday to go over the music again. I only felt slightly awkward because at the end we prayed... I don't know why I feel weird about that. I pray all the time by myself. And back in high school before every show the cast would circle together and say a little prayer. I guess I just have to get used to it. I'm kind of excited about this choir. The music minister is very knowledgeable and he said that he'd even get us singing by ear eventually. That would be AMAZING! I'd love to be able to do that. I almost want to stick with it just so I could pick up that skill! So we'll see how Sunday goes.

After practice I stayed late chatting it up with the music minister and his wife (fellow Taffeta cast members) and Chris (another Taffeta cast member.) We were literally there talking for an hour and it was so much fun! I really miss those days where I could just hang out and talk about nothing and everything!

I realized that I really like the cast and most of the crew (tee hee) of A Taffeta Wedding and I'm going to miss them!! I really hope we can make plans and get together - all of us.
