Soon to be back on stage!

I got a part in A Taffeta Wedding! I'm not the same character I was but I am more than fine with that. So far the songs I get to sing are some of my favorite oldies songs! I'm REALLY excited! Of course I am nervous too... I haven't been ON stage since... '07 I think?? And I'm slightly worried about being able to memorize my lines after having two kids. Isn't there some saying about mommy brain AFTER you've had kids too? It's a good thing that this show is not line heavy! I had my first rehearsal going over the music for Act 1 last night and it was so much fun to be singing again. I'm really looking forward to this show.

My house has been full of sickness recently. Beatrice woke up puking on Friday morning and she was so whinny - which isn't like her at all. I was able to get her into the doctor and she had pneumonia. She's doing a lot better today. It was so sad to see her Friday looking all sad and sick. She had to have a chest xray and she did such a good job standing still for it. She had asked me if she'd have to get a shot and I told her no. But when we got back from the xrays the doctor said she wanted some blood drawn. So I had to tell Bea that she was going to get a shot. But she was so good. She only cried a little and I talked to her the whole time about Peter Pan, because we'd seen the play the night before, and what color nail polish she wanted to get at the drug store. I was very proud of her. I am glad she's better now!

Then poor Camille started wheezing around Saturday night. She had a temperature of 103.3 and she was so restless she couldn't get comfortable to fall asleep. I was so worried about her and wondered if I would be considered over dramatic for bringing her to the emergency room. I didn't bring her in, but Izak took her to the walk in clinic Sunday morning. That doctor said she had bronchitis and gave her the same meds Beatrice had. Her fever still hadn't broken and I was still worried about her wheezing. It really sounded like she couldn't breathe. Monday morning I took her to the pediatrician and after having to administer a breathing treatment - which was no easy feat! That little girl is so strong! The doctor said she had croup and an ear infection. We've been sitting in the steamy bathroom with her and giving her breathing treatments and had her humidifier on with the door shut to her room. It was practically tropical in there! She is a lot better today and I am so glad! I hate it when my girls are sick and feeling icky and there is absolutely nothing I can do for them. It just breaks my heart.
