I've been researching whether or not to keep Beatrice at Montessori for Kindergarten or take her to the public school.
First problem: What will I do with her when she's not in school? You know because kindergarten is only half days at public school.
I've been calling around to places that watch the kids and ideally pick them up and drop them off at school. Nobody does pick up/drop off. Either because they just don't or we're out of their range. So I can pick her up and drop her off myself... then pick her up and drop her off at whatever place we decide to go with.
Me running around either in the morning or on my lunch break taking Bea to her schools... hmmm....
Then there is Millie... still over at Montessori. I still have to drive across town.
Once place I called is a preschool. The owner has Montessori training, used to work at a Montessori school, been in business for a number of years. She can watch Bea IF I enroll her in afternoon kindergarten - I don't really have a preference myself - I'd have to take her to kindergarten and then pick her up again. This same place has space for Millie! The two girls in ONE place still continuing their Montessori learning and literally right down the street from me. WAY closer than across town and a bit cheaper if you factor in Bea going to kindergarten.
So what to do? Make the change? Yeah, it's closer but I'd still use up my lunch time dropping Bea off at school. Then I'd have to pick her up around 3 and probably bring her to work with me. I could pay $50 extra a month to take her back to the preschool but lets face it, I more often then not have maybe an hour and a half left of working once I get back from dropping her off at the preschool.. It would just be easier for me to take her to work then go get Millie once I wrap everything up....
Or do I stay where we are. Driving across town and spending a crazy amount of money?
Can someone just pick for me?
