Wrap up week...

Monday I went to the neurologist for my headaches.  She just wanted to medicate me! She was prescribing this medication and she was talking about it and it just freaked me out! Needless to say I won't be going back to her. The last couple of days I have NOT had a headache... go figure. I've been trying to take breaks when I'm working on the computer. I'm still trying to figure out if my glasses are helping.

This morning the daycare lady nearly made me cry. She has a new rule about food from home. She'd rather us not bring it in. The kids share the food and their germs... I understand that. Millie has been doing really well with not bring food in. Two days this week she's had food. I've told Millie that she needs to finish her pancakes before we get to daycare. They are small mini pancakes so I figure what's the big deal? This morning the daycare lady tells me:

M: 'Sam, I'd really appreciate it if you didn't bring Camille in with food.'

S: 'I know! I tell Camille that she needs to finish them before we get here.'

M: 'Well at some point you're just going to have to not give her anything or take them away from her' (insert her cackle that makes me feel two feet tall.)

S: 'Well, M, I have to feed Bea. And then Camille sees that Bea has food and she wants something too. What am I going to do? Not give her anything?'

Then M changes the subject and says how good Camille is at sharing yada yada yada. I got pissed. Sure I probably over reacted but really? I get you've been running a daycare all your life. And yeah you have ONE kid. And it might be super easy for you to not let kids have anything but honestly M giving Camille a bloody effin' mini pancake in the morning is a lot EASIER then telling her no and hearing her scream and whine ALL the way to school. You take the pancake away from her! You deal with it. And the kids sharing food and sharing germs! Puh-lease you let the freakin' moms bring their sick kids IN to daycare and the get effin' sick anyways!!  I guess I just hate it how people who are older and have kids are like soooo in the know and know-it-all's about kids... Don't tell me how to parent. I'll make my mistakes on my own without anyone's help. Unless I specifically come to you... keep your trap shut.
