I did it.

A local theatre company will be putting on the Broadway musical Avenue Q. They held singing auditions Sunday and Tuesday. This audition was different then others I've been to because you had to contact the director and ask for an audition time. Normally it's just a come one, come all thing and you just go and read whatever part they give you. I can't really compare this to any other singing audition I've had because up till now all the singing auditions I've had I just went to the audition and sang whatever they wanted me to sing. This time I had to prepare a song no more than 2 min. in length and bring sheet music. ACK! Luckily I happen to know some very talented musicians and they were able to help me out in picking out a song and helping me through it. Anyways.... long story short. I learned my song and had my audition Tuesday night. I got there early and was actually the only one there at the time and I just went ahead and sang. Looking back I think I could have done better, supported more, been louder...etc. I hate how my head replay's something and each time it forgets something and so the replay seems worse than (hopefully) it really was. I'm supposed to find out one way or another today. If I get called back... if I'm cast... I really would love to be called back because that would mean that I was actually considered. I'd hate to be just someone at the bottom of the list that they scratched off without any thought. I've decided to not check my email (or facebook) at all today. Well, maybe later tonight.... Ugh.
