The weekend before last Beatrice woke up with a horrible cough. Izak took her to the walk in clinic and got her meds. Last Wednesday Millie woke up with a cough. I took her to the doctor that morning and she had croup. So I stayed home with her. Thursday I had a sitter come and watch her at the house but she could only stay till noon. So I missed half a day of work instead of a whole day... Then Friday I had a dear and life-saving friend watch Millie AND I had two morning shows of the Little Mermaid. Talk about crazy and stressful week! After the shows I booked it to work and tried to catch up on things.
This weekend is closing weekend for the show. I have another two morning shows on Friday (they're for the local schools) and evening shows that Friday and Saturday night. The good thing about this company - no building or striking the set for the actors! Yay! (That's always my least favorite part.) I'm glad a got a chance to do children's theatre. I'm not sure I'd do it again though... I just don't feel like I learned anything or even really had that great of a time. I met some great creative people!! But I don't know. Maybe it's just the whole mix of ages...?? I'm not used to actually working with kids! Maybe it will be different if Bea and I were to be in a show together.... We'll see. I'm not closing the door completely...
In other news I was kind of looking forward to being invited to my cousin's baby shower. I was hoping that it would work out at a time where I could maybe actually go! You know... a little weekend getaway... but alas... apparently no one from out of town was invited... sigh. I understand the reasoning... and who knows if I would have been able to afford it anyway... Oh well. That reminds me, I've been a horrible cousin and have not called to see how she's been doing. I must do that this weekend... or maybe sometime today! There's no time like the present right?!?
