My Thursday evening was CRAZY! Bea had her first dance class and directly after we literally had to race to Cheer pictures on the other side of town!
I got to her school early to clean her off - she's always so dirty after school because they are playing on the play ground and that play ground has sand. :( I put clean tights and a leotard on her and I kid you not as soon as they were on her they were dirty! She even had sand on her belly! I tried to wipe her off as best I could. Then we drove to the dance studio and she was so excited to start dance again! I was fixing her hair and while I was doing that she took my comb and poked a hole in her brand new tights! I swear I try so hard to make that girl look presentable and she might as well be the Punky Brewster of the class! After class we raced to change her into her Cheer outfit. In the car I told Bea how I couldn't wait to see her dance. She said: 'Am I going to be on stage?' And I said: 'Do you want to be?' And she said: 'YES!' So I think I'll have to plan and budget for the recital, recital fees and costume fees... yikes!
On the way to the outskirts of town I remembered there was a back way to get to the school but I wanted to verify that and the street so I called my mom, who was conveniently out to dinner with her teacher friends and they were able to verify the street for me and I literally made it just in time. I got a text from the Cheer adviser just as I was pulling onto the street that the school was on that our squad was almost up! Luckily I was able to park IN the parking lot instead of on the street miles away! But as I was walking up some random person was all: 'The Sooners already took their pictures.' I just looked at her and didn't say anything... And went back to pulling/yelling at Bea to come on! But we DID make it. In fact we ended up waiting 15 or so minuets before the girls individual pictures were actually taken. I was only slightly put off because instead of a group shot with the girls we got a group shot with the football players... Um, thanks? I don't even know the boys and I don't even pay attention to the game! Oh well. I really hope her individual picture turned out well.
