A couple of weeks ago I signed Bea up for Tiny Tots soccer through the city. I received an email saying that all the coaches will be meeting up on the 19th and I should get a call telling me what team Bea is on and when practises and games are. Well the 19th rolled around and I didn't get a call. I just now got a call today. It was a lady, I could barely understand her but she said something to the effect that there wasn't enough coaches for my child's team and if I'd like to coach or know someone that would to call them. It's only a six week session. I guess I could coach though I know nothing about soccer besides kicking the ball into the opposite team's goal. I certainly don't know anything about getting kids ages 3-5 to learn how to play soccer. Another con for me coaching is that I'm pretty booked up during the week. I could really only hold practises on Monday or Friday nights. Possibly Tuesday night, but that's really pushing it. So I'm not sure I'd be an ideal candidate as a soccer coach.
I guess I can call and see what it all entails.... right now I'm thinking of all the lists I'd have to create to get parents to volunteer to bring snacks to each game... I certainly don't want to be stuck supplying the team and their siblings snacks. (Cause lets face it parents today won't tell the younger or older children that the snacks are just for the players.)
I don't think I should have any irate parents mad because I won't let their child play.. I think all the kids are just out on the field...
Oh I don't know.... things to think about....
