O Christmas tree
I've decided that this year we will have to get a decidedly smaller Christmas tree. Not because we're trying to save money or anything. (Although that couldn't hurt right?) No, the reason for the smaller tree is because of Beatrice. With her crawling around everywhere, pulling herself up on things, and sticking anything and everything into her mouth I thought the smaller tree, which I could place on top of something would be a lot safer and would thus ensure a happier holiday. I can easily see many scenarios happening: Beatrice under the Christmas tree with her face in the tree stand. Yes I know this would make for a good photo op, but no thanks. Other scenarios include but are not limited to Beatrice eating parts of the tree. Beatrice pulling a glass ornament off of the tree, which would no doubt break and then she would promptly insert a part of it into her mouth. See where I'm going here? So it will have to be a small tree for Beatrice. I thought about using the fake small one I got years ago from my mom, but Bea really needs to have the experience of going to the Christmas tree lot, smelling the trees and Christmas in the air and picking a tree... one of the smaller ones in the front. :) Never mind that she won't actually remember her first Christmas... the things we do for our kids right?

I was thinking the exact same thing.
Tabletop trees are so cute and you can make them look really full since you have a lot less space to cover.
