Auditions
Saturday I went to audition for Les Mis being produced by a local acting troupe/company that I have never worked with before. It would be nice to work with new people... discover other's talents...etc. I went to this audition because yes, I'd LOVE TO BE IN THE SHOW!! I'd LOVE TO GET A LEAD!! But mainly I went for the experience. This was my second 'real' singing audition. And by 'real' I mean I had to have something prepared. I got through it... now I get to wait... and wait...

Bed time revisited...
Lately bedtime has been getting out of hand AGAIN! Monday night was the last straw for me. Tuesday I took control. It worked! I don't know if it was because Millie didn't nap at school Tuesday or Wednesday or what... but I've officially made her a player at school. She's super happy. Bea's happy because she gets to eat and play with Millie at lunch/lunch recess now. I'm happy because they're asleep! No more laying with them and falling asleep with them and then waking up at midnight or sometime early the next morning and being stiff from laying in their tiny beds! I tuck them in at night and say: "You need to close your eyes and pretend your asleep! I'll come in and check on you in a little bit!" When I come back, they're fast asleep! Let's keep this up!
If only I could organize the mornings better.... hmmm....

I almost died last night.
I almost died last night! I watched Beatrice RUN across the driveway parking lot at dance and she nearly got hit! I swear I was just waiting to see her smashed on the floor or thrown in the air. All I could do was just stand there, holding back Millie and screaming: BEATRICE! The mom next to me yelled something and the other mom next to her said: Jesus Christ. Lets just say that yesterday was not the best day I ever had. But She's still alive, not a scratch on her. The car stopped in time, but man it was a close one... I don't want to go through that again.

Making the change...
I'm moving the girls. I've decided. I met with the lady of the new school and looked at the facility and I like it. It's cute and small (but not too small) and literally right down the street from us. I filled out all the paperwork and turned it in and they can start in June! I'm excited and I hope they like the place!
That means I'm enrolling Bea in public kindergarten! Registration is in March, but I'm scrambling to get her physical and booster shots all caught up. My mom says that I can register at the school we're supposed to go to, but while there ask for a transfer and take it to the school I want her to go to - which would be right across the street from her new preschool! That would be AMAZING to have her go there! Then they can walk her to afternoon kindergarten and I won't have to mess up my lunch hour taking her! I really wish March would get here already! Wish me luck that things work out!

What to do... what to do....
I've been researching whether or not to keep Beatrice at Montessori for Kindergarten or take her to the public school.
First problem: What will I do with her when she's not in school? You know because kindergarten is only half days at public school.
I've been calling around to places that watch the kids and ideally pick them up and drop them off at school. Nobody does pick up/drop off. Either because they just don't or we're out of their range. So I can pick her up and drop her off myself... then pick her up and drop her off at whatever place we decide to go with.
Me running around either in the morning or on my lunch break taking Bea to her schools... hmmm....
Then there is Millie... still over at Montessori. I still have to drive across town.
Once place I called is a preschool. The owner has Montessori training, used to work at a Montessori school, been in business for a number of years. She can watch Bea IF I enroll her in afternoon kindergarten - I don't really have a preference myself - I'd have to take her to kindergarten and then pick her up again. This same place has space for Millie! The two girls in ONE place still continuing their Montessori learning and literally right down the street from me. WAY closer than across town and a bit cheaper if you factor in Bea going to kindergarten.
So what to do? Make the change? Yeah, it's closer but I'd still use up my lunch time dropping Bea off at school. Then I'd have to pick her up around 3 and probably bring her to work with me. I could pay $50 extra a month to take her back to the preschool but lets face it, I more often then not have maybe an hour and a half left of working once I get back from dropping her off at the preschool.. It would just be easier for me to take her to work then go get Millie once I wrap everything up....
Or do I stay where we are. Driving across town and spending a crazy amount of money?
Can someone just pick for me?

Kindergarten RECON
So, I'm gearing up for Kindergarten registration... IN MARCH!
I signed Bea up for Green House - just in case.
I'm still looking into other options regarding public school kindergarten and what to do with her once her session is over...
I have one lead where I'll have to take her to her school myself since they don't drive out that far.
I have another lead but I couldn't get a hold of anyone so I left a message... sigh.
I already called the doctor's office to see what booster's she might need. I plan on camping out at the school to sign her up. Just kidding!
I hope everything works out.
