Blood letting
Today Beatrice had her 9 month check up. At first I was excited because the doctor had said she wouldn't have to get any more shots but then the doctor realized what month and season we would be in and informed us that Beatrice would need a flu shot AND would need to have blood drawn. :( UGH! So today we went, and I dreaded it. When it came time for the flu shot she just cried for a second. I was so proud! But then I was told I had to go to the lab for her blood to be drawn. I slowly walked down to the lab, just sick. I was so worried how she would be. When her name was called we went in and we sat in the big chair together. Two nurses came to work on her. I thought they'd just draw the blood from her finger, but since I had asked for Bea to be tested for allergies they needed to draw more blood from her arm! So I sat there with Bea in my lap while I watched one of the nurses try to find her vein in her arms. She tried the right one first but couldn't find it. Then she tried the left one and had better luck. They needed to use a 'butterfly' thing, when it came time for the nurse to stick the needle in Bea was just so into watching them and wondering what the heck they were doing she barely whimpered! I couldn't believe it! She didn't cry! They must have been really good, and I'm so thankful that they were. I don't know if I could stand to see Bea crying from that. I nearly cried just anticipating her crying. :) So we're almost done with the shots. She just needs to go back next month for the second installation of her flu shot then her 12 month check up in January.

Halloween Madness??
Tutu sent Bea my brother's old costumes the other day. (The reason why she had them I believe is because her grandson, my cousin, Josh probably used them.) But anyways... my mom opened the package before Bea and I got there. My brother had been home and my mom, reminiscing about when he was tiny and he wore the pumpkin costume she made for him, was begging him to try it on. Being the 20 year old college student that he is, he refused. My mom apparently was not satisfied and tried it on herself, and then realized she was stuck.
She looks so cute though doesn't she?! Bea didn't know what to think. Dave eventually got it off of her in one piece! Yay Dave!! ;) Then we tried the bear 'hat' on Bea...
Doesn't she look cute too? Dad thinks she looks like and ewok.

Beatrice was totally passed out in her grandpa's arms! So sweet!

She gets into everything!
Bea loves to play on the blanket on the floor. Most of the time she is happy playing with one of her many toys. BUT every now and then she starts feeling rebellious and begins to crawl towards things she shouldn't be crawling towards. Like the T.V. cables...
When I see her going towards this I always say, "Beatrice" in my cautionary tone, and what does she do!? She starts laughing and crawling faster towards the object! Then just before she gets there she'll sit up and act as if nothing has happened and that I'm jumping to conclusions!
Helping me with the laundry...

Wonder Woman!
Yesterday was Adam's 1st birthday party and Bea and I almost didn't make it! When I went to pick her up on Friday her nose was runny! And Saturday she was worse with a runny nose and eyes. She was and has been so congested. :( I don't know if it's allergies or a cold. But she seems to be taking it in stride well...except for last night. She hardly slept... but I really wanted to post some pictures of Bea in her Wonder Woman costume!

Pumpkin Patch!
As sort of a last minuet idea on Thursday Izak, Bea, Gigi and I went to the pumpkin patch! Here is what Bea thought of it....

She hated the corn box! (A sand box w/out sand and dried corn instead.) As soon as I put her in there she demanded to get out. I think she thought it was too dirty!

Stroller Strides
Dez and I tried stroller strides the other day. It happened to be just our luck because in the past they've only had morning classes (during the day). And nothing for the working mom. But somehow I came across them and they were trying out an evening class! Yay! So we went to our first class last Thursday and for some reason I totally thought I'd have it in the bag. I mean, hello, I've been doing boot camp all this month, I'm soooo fit now! LOL... Yeah, we walked a lot and I was always last! I felt like I was back in high school trying to run the mile. But at least this time I had Bea to talk to. She just sat in her stroller looking around at everything. I think she enjoyed it. By the end of the class though she was getting antsy and wanted to be out of her stroller, she didn't even want to get into her car seat! She nearly jumped out of it when I put her in! I felt bad. But luckily the new sports park that we met at is not very far from home so I was able to get her out and crawling around on the floor in no time. I really hope they continue the evening classes. There's a possibility that they might not. Due to too few moms... oh no! We can't be the only working moms in this area!
