Pink Eye Strikes Again...

Last week Wednesday I was informed that Camille may have been exposed to pink eye. :( I wish I would have had the forethought to call the doctor and get eye drops... but I didn't. Maybe they don't do that anyway? I tried to take the necessary precautions - like Lysol-ing everything from my car to the entire house. For the rest of the week she was fine, but Sunday it hit. She woke up from nap with gunky eyes. I quickly searched the web. Was there anything over the counter that would help? Izak ran to Walgreen's and picked some stuff up. Not sure if it helped. This is what he got:

Monday she woke up with serious gunk in her eyes. I called the doctor at 8am. The receptionist(?) said she'd ask the doctor if she needed to see Camille or if she could just call it in. 9.30 I called back. Still no word from the doctor. I waited. 10.30 I called again, but this time to see if I could get an appointment (thinking it might be faster?) I got an appointment. She's got pink eye - duh. And another ear infection - which we knew about. :( Luckily the meds for pink eye were FREE with a coupon the doctor gave me. So what if I had to wait an hour for the pharmacy (a pharmacy on the other side of town that we don't normally go to) to fill the prescription. I wanted to snap at them and say: Why does it take so long? You just have to pull it off the shelf! GAH!

Anyway, got home put the drops in her eye and just tried to follow her around spraying everything with Lysol and washing my hands every second. Not to mention washing anything I could... My stupid dryer is drying things REALLY slowly so my washing is backed up! :(

This morning she woke up with light crusties in her eyes... I took her daycare anyway. I hope that wasn't a bad decision. I just recently got some new duties at work and I didn't want to miss another day NOT doing my new job... sigh. I pray that Mary doesn't have any issues with Millie today. She hasn't called me yet! And I PRAY that Beatrice doesn't get it!!!
