The other day I was with a mixed group of people. I was looking around the group, observing everyone. A few people caught my eye. They made me wonder at what point does one stop caring about how they look. I don't know if this is the case but do they not notice that what they're wearing and how they do their hair does not make them very attractive?
First off I noticed every one's feet. It is sandal weather after all. Can I just say that some people shouldn't wear sandals. They're feet are either all dry and cracked or their toe nails are horrendous!
On person had their bangs combed to one side. For some reason this was just NOT a good look for this person. I couldn't figure out why though. Was it the color of the hair? Or just the way it was combed over to begin with?
Another person was wearing a fanny pack. Yes, you read correctly, a fanny pack. Will someone tell me what's wrong with bringing a little wristlet? If one does not wish to cart around a big purse or even a cute small purse...at what point is a fanny pack 'ok?'
Do these people look in the mirror in the morning and think: 'Hot damn I look good today!' Or do they simply don't care any more? What, they are so comfortable with who they are that they don't really care how they look and how they are viewed by others?
I'm sorry but I'm pretty sure I will NEVER wear a fanny pack. I know I will always part MY hair the same way because I know it looks good that way. I will change it up now and then, straight, curly, curly/straight. I will play around with makeup and find what I think is best. But I will always keep my eyes open to new trends and try those every now and then as well. The same can be said for the way I dress.
I'm just desperate to ask these people: WHY!?
Jackie O and Audrey Hepburn never lost there style as they aged. I hope to emulate them.
