Pictures

My birthday is just around the corner and I recieved and early bday present - a new camera! And I'm talking a serious new camera! Like I could become a proffessional photographer with this camera... but I won't. I've been testing it out here and there... Yesterday I noticed how big my pink rose bush has gotten and I realized this would be a perfect opportunity to test some of the settings on my new camera. I got Bea to pose for me. (Millie was inside playing.) I also got to take some up close pictures of the pink roses and the orange blossoms... I could be biased but I think they turned out really well! I actually want to have a few blown up and framed... You tell me!

She pulled her tooth out!

Well, Bea took matters into her own hands and pulled her tooth out! She was playing with it and playing with it... I tried to pull it out myself a couple of times with no luck and she tried but then got scared but then kept trying and finally pulled it out! So now I have a toothless girl! :(  My baby is growing up!

First Loose Tooth!

This morning Beatrice was telling me that something was wrong with her tooth. She told me how she was eating lunch yesterday and she just kept biting her lip and couldn't figure out why.  I felt around and she has her first loose tooth! I told her: "Bea! Your tooth is loose!" And I started to cry a little! Then I said: "You're growing up!" She hugged me and I was unsure if she was sad.... but then she pulled away and said: "YES! I've always wanted a loose tooth!"

I'm sure she'll be playing with it all day. And I'm sure the Tooth Fairy will be visiting our house soon!

Easter Bunny!

I don't know how my mom did it...but she got the girls to sit with the Easter Bunny!!  This hasn't happened since Millie was a baby and I had to bribe Bea with Peeps!!

Spring Break

The girls are on Spring Break and I wish I had the week off too! :(

Three good things...

A couple of weeks ago (or longer) when I was implementing my new bedtime routine, I started asking the girls to tell me three good things that happened to them that day.  I'd ask them individually while tucking them in at night. The last couple of nights they've been asleep before I got home so I didn't get a chance to ask them. Last night Beatrice turned the tables on me and asked ME to tell her three good things that happened to me. Yesterday was tough for me. I thought my sitter wasn't going to show... I had to miss my lunch break out of the office because my sitter was so late.. Millie was having another one of  her breakdowns (several of them I should say) after dance. It was just overall a shitty day I felt.  So it was really hard to think of three good things... I came up with one: dinner didn't suck! I had tried a new recipe.. actually I just made it up from something that I'd had a while ago and it turned out great! I was struggling to come up with the other two things... I was looking at Bea and Millie and then it came to me... Three good things that happened to me yesterday were: 1)Beatrice 2) Camille 3)dinner didn't suck.. Those girls - though they drive me crazy on several occasions will always be my top two good things that happened to me today and everyday.  Maybe it doesn't really count... But they make me smile despite their chaos.

Besties! (Just missing Pam)

It was a spur of the moment trip and so nice to see everyone! There were lots of shenanigans - like always! The weather was rainy Friday, slightly overcast Saturday morning, but then warmed up, and Sunday was perfect! Of course, perfect weather on the day we leave! When can we do it again!?
