Hair cut

Since I got my hair trimmed yesterday and Dezi had Adam's hair cut yesterday... I got to thinking that Beatrice needed a trim as well. After all doesn't a trim help the hair grow back faster?? I know, it doesn't make much sense to me either, but I had my Dad trim Bea's hair yesterday. Here are some pictures from the day:

Little by Little

Over the last couple of weeks Beatrice has grown more confident in walking. Especially when she thinks no one is watching. It is so cute to watch her take those little steps. I know before Izak and I know it she'll be zoomin' around the house. We've both promised to get her walking on video sometime this weekend. If that happens I will try to post the video. Every day I look at her and marvel at how big she's gotten, and how much she's changed. It's simply amazing.

Brusha, Brusha!

A couple of weeks ago I was at the store picking up some meds for Bea when I cam across a funky looking toothbrush just for babies! I thought this would be good for Bea, so I picked one up and she loves it! In the mornings before we head of to school, she has a little snack and then when I put her in the car I give her her tooth brush and she brushes her teeth on the way to school. Hopefully this will help gradually move her into brushing her teeth with a real toothbrush when the time comes.

Oh my ears!

Beatrice's two front teeth have made their appearance, and although they are not all the way down and out they are still exposed. She's taken to grinding her lower teeth against her upper teeth and it sounds awful! It's so loud! The first time she did it I thought she had rocks in her mouth. I hope she doesn't take after her GrandPee and continues to grind her teeth...

Again with the sickness

Yesterday I was feeling wretched so I went to the Doctor. I made Izak take me because I wasn't feeling up to driving. We got into the examining room and waited. It seemed like so long that I just voluntarily laid down on the stupid little papery bed. As it turns out I supposedly had the stomach flu. He gave me a shot and some pills and told me to eat bland food... ugh. I started feeling icky on Sunday so when I felt the same on Monday I knew I had to drag my butt into the doctor. I'm feeling a lot better today, not exactly a hundred percent but I don't feel as weak as I did. I stayed home from work yesterday and slept ALL day. It was lovely.

In other news since Bea's ears are so bad the doctor had prescribed her more antibiotics and nasal spray. Well, the antibiotics make her a little poopy and now she has a monster diaper rash! She woke up several times in the night because of this. I feel so bad for her. I hope it goes away soon.

Here are some pictures Izak and I took over the weekend. It was so warm that we were able to go outside and enjoy the day.

She put her jacket on her head like that herself.

Believe it or not she pushed the foot stool over to the coffee table and just climbed up on it. Like it was nothing at all...

Playin' around outside with Mommy.

Being silly on her chair.

Do your ears hang low...

Yes, my friends Beatrice's ears are STILL bad! We just back from the doctor and I'm just so upset about it. We made an appointment with an ear doctor for the week after next. Our current doctor gave her a prescription for another antibiotic (at least it's not shots!) and nasal spray. I keep telling myself that this is nothing compared to other things she could have...

The Week in Pictures

Nothing new to report. Beatrice's two front teeth have not come out yet. They are right there and you can see them, but they just refuse to come down!

It's been a whole week and I haven't nursed Bea. I'm still uncomfortable though! Instead of being sad about the passing of this stage I want to celebrate it... soooo anyone up for margaritas!?

I leave you with pictures of Bea from this week!
